RYAN LAWRENCE
RANCH OWNER & OPERATOR
Ryan Lawrence is the founder of Four Corners Land & Livestock. Raised on the rhythm of early mornings, calving seasons, and conversations in the tractor cab, Ryan has grown into both a practical rancher and a thoughtful steward of legacy.
From restoring the original Lawrence homestead to launching the ranch’s direct-to-consumer beef program, Ryan’s focus is on transparency, quality, and connection, between people, land, and livestock. He believes ranching is more than a job: it’s a way to care for the land, feed the community, and tell the story of agriculture, one honest steak at a time.

BRIAN LAWRENCE
RANCH OWNER & MANAGER
Brian Lawrence is Ryan’s brother and an equally vital part of the operation at Four Corners Land & Livestock. A fifth-generation rancher with deep roots in the land and lifestyle, Brian brings hands-on skill and consistency to the daily work of the farm, whether he’s running equipment, feeding cattle, or fixing what needs fixing.
A strong believer in family values, faith, and stewardship, Brian represents the kind of dependable, behind-the-scenes presence every multigenerational operation needs to thrive. His work ethic is grounded in the legacy of those who came before and in the belief that there’s no substitute for doing things the right way.
Rooted in the land and raised on integrity. we are grounded in fatih and driven by stewardship.
“I grew up watching my dad and grandfather work these fields. Now I get to walk the same ground and raise cattle with the same care they did, maybe with a few more tractors and spreadsheets. But the heart of it hasn’t changed: we take care of our animals, we take care of our land, and we do it together as a family.” - Ryan Lawrence, Owner
Each day on the ranch starts and ends with conversation: morning check-ins to plan, evening talks to share updates, troubleshoot problems, and reflect on the day. Whether feeding cows, running equipment, or checking on new calves, every family member pitches in, even those with off-farm jobs.
The original Lawrence homestead dates back to circa 1895, when William and Lizzie Lawrence staked their claim. Over the decades, the operation has grown from 40 owned acres to over 2,700 owned and 5,000 total acres managed today.
Brothers Ryan and Brian Lawrence are 5th-generation farmers and carry the work forward alongside their parents, Earl and Sandra Lawrence. Their hands-on approach reflects a deep respect for the land, livestock, and legacy passed down through the generations.
oUR Farm. oUR STORY. OUR FAMILY.
the difference?
What makes Four Corners unique is its unwavering commitment to being a true family farm. They rely on minimal outside help, foster meaningful relationships with neighbors and landlords, and believe that success is measured in honesty, hard work, and stewardship, not just acreage.
The Land & Livestock
At Four Corners Land & Livestock, the land and the livestock are inseparable. You can’t raise good cattle without good ground, and you can’t care for the land without understanding the animals that live on it. For five generations, the Lawrence family has worked this landscape with that balance in mind.
The cattle are born here, raised here, and cared for like family. From snowy winters to mountain summers, each animal is part of a system built on trust, routine, and compassion. Our cows graze on high meadows and canyon pastures, rotate through fields to let forage regrow, and are handled with low-stress practices that put their well-being first. Every calf has a story, and more than a few have spent cold nights on our living room floor.
Our Angus herd is grass-fed and grain-finished, with the grain either grown right here on the farm or sourced from nearby producers. It’s a process that honors both tradition and taste, producing beef that’s consistent, well-marbled, and rooted in the local economy. Humane care, detailed recordkeeping, and strong herd health are all part of what makes our operation different. The animals matter to us, and so does the land they rely on.
We steward over 5,000 acres in the rolling hills and high breaks of North Central Idaho. Our soil was once timberland, cleared by generations past, and today it grows wheat, barley, hay, lentils, and grass. We use conservation practices like rotational grazing, cover cropping, and erosion control not because they’re trendy, but because they’re necessary. Sustainability isn’t optional here. If we don’t take care of this land, we lose everything.
We see ourselves as caretakers, not just of cattle and crops, but of a way of life. Our job is to leave the land better than we found it, raise healthy animals with respect, and carry this legacy forward with integrity. Here at Four Corners, we believe that how you raise something is just as important as what you raise.
FAQs
-
All of our cattle are born and raised right here in North Central Idaho on our family ranch. Our animals spend the majority of their lives on open pasture, including high mountain summer ranges and spacious winter grounds overlooking Juliaetta. We use low-stress, humane handling practices and track each animal’s health closely. They’re more than livestock to us; they’re part of the family.
-
Our cattle are grass-fed and grain-finished. They spend most of their lives grazing on pasture and are finished on a locally grown ration of alfalfa, grass hay, and grain for the last 120–150 days. This finishing process helps create the rich marbling, tenderness, and flavor we’re proud to offer in every cut of beef.
-
Our beef is raised with attention, consistency, and care. Unlike large commercial operations, we personally know our herd, raise our animals on local land with local feed, and use ethical, sustainable practices in every part of the process. The result? Quality beef you can trust produced by people you know.
